Build a computer for my father during black friday/cyber monday as an early xmas present. You see it appears his HP Pavilion finally died which he bought almost a decade ago. I had a few pc parts lying around so I build him a new one.
Old XFX Radeon HD5850 video card that I wasnt' using anymore. Same with spare fans etc.

Intel Core i3-8100 Coffee Lake cpu

Under device manager I noticed a lot of yellow exclamation points. It looks like chipset drivers weren;t loaded. So I went to aorus and they only have chipsets for windows 10? So, I went to get the chipsets from intel and well... Like an idiot I think I installed the wrong ones. This is the link http://
After installing the chipsets the excalmation points in device manager are all gone. But it also says under device manager/system devices: Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family and a little lower Intel(R) Xeon(R) E3 - 1200.1500 v5/6th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM)
How bad is doing this to a new pc and how would I fix this? Only negative so far is boot up time is a little slower. Is doing this bad to a computer?
Other problem is sound. Sound is through the monitor with the hdmi cable and video card. But when you plug in headphones nothing happens. Sound goes through monitor. However, SoundBlaster has a section where you can do a test. So when you do a test the test noise goes through the headphones? How would I fix that?
